Ziad Chebib is the founder of CONSILIUM. His professional career combines twenty-four years of public service with more than five years of subsequent practice in legal counsel, conflict resolution and arbitration.
During his public career, he served in the Lebanese Council of State, where his work encompassed both the advisory and judicial dimensions of administrative law, including legislation and regulatory texts, public contracts, administrative decisions, public service matters, urban planning, expropriation, elections, taxation and licensing.
He also served in the Legislation and Consultation Department of the Lebanese Ministry of Justice, preparing and reviewing legislative and regulatory texts and legal opinions for ministries and state departments across a broad range of fields. His government advisory work also included legal assignments for several public authorities and ministries.
Chebib subsequently served for six years as Governor of Beirut, adding executive leadership and first-hand institutional decision-making experience to his judicial and advisory background.
Following the conclusion of his public service career, he entered independent legal practice. For more than five years, he has advised on complex legal matters and practiced conflict resolution and arbitration, including international arbitration.
At CONSILIUM, he concentrates particularly on matters requiring legal analysis, strategic judgment, discretion and the resolution of complex or sensitive disputes.
